Spokeo is in the business of helping people find other people online and it looks like the company has increased their share of the billion dollar people search and public records market in 2015.

Spokeo, Inc. reported record-breaking growth last year for their popular people search engine. According to Spokeo, their company saw a 95% revenue increase in two years, from 2013 to 2015. The company is expected to finish 2015 with $78 million in total revenue.

Spokeo is now reportedly the second most trafficked people search site in the U.S., just behind online white pages site Whitepages.com.

Spokeo increased their total workforce last year by hiring an additional 50 people and now has a total employee count of 200 people. The company also expanded their corporate headquarters in Pasadena, California to almost 25,000 square feet.

In the past year, Spokeo solidified their place as one of the internet’s top people search engines with over 12 billion public records in their database. Their database is expected to grow to over 14 billion records this year. Last October, Spokeo started Spokeo Enterprise – a high-volume B2B people search created for companies and organizations that need to find, validate and contact people and customers.

In 2016, Spokeo will celebrate their 10th year as one of the internet’s top providers of public records, contact information and personal data on people. Spokeo CEO and co-founder, Harrison Tang, said that the company is still seeing a strong demand from consumers for people search and public records data.

Spokeo CEO Harrison Tang recently received Ernst and Young’s prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Los Angeles area in their consumer services category. In addition, the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 has named Spokeo as one of the fastest growing tech companies in North America.

The company also sponsors the annual Spokeo Search Angel awards, which recognizes and supports people who volunteer their time and resources to help adult adoptees search for, find and reunite with their biological family members.

Spokeo is one of the top online searches for finding personal information and public records on people. Over their ten year history, Spokeo has helped numerous people find and reunite with friends and family that they had lost contact with. Some of Spokeo’s popular searches include court records, name searches, reverse address lookup, reverse phone number lookup as well as searches for email addresses, usernames and social media profiles.

In addition to Spokeo and Spokeo Enterprise, the company also operates an online service called Family.me, which is a private social network for people to build family trees, do genealogy research and share family history online with other relatives. Members of Family.me can also search through millions of birth, death, marriage, census, immigration and military records online.

Spokeo will soon offer a name alert tool for its users that will update them in the event that someone they know moves to a different address or if any new public records are found for that person.

Some of the other top people search engines that compete with Spokeo include: Intelius, Been Verified, Instant Checkmate and PeopleSmart.
