Facebook Conversation Leads To Criminal Probe Of 8th Grade Students

A series of Facebook communications between two 13 year old students has led to the filing of criminal charges against the 8th graders.

A male student from Schaghticoke Middle School in Connecticut threatened a school administrator on Facebook. And a female student responded to the posting by saying they should bomb the school.

The male was charged with making threats and disorderly conduct. The female was charged with making threats and breach of peace.

Both students were suspended from the school for the Facebook posts.

A parent saw the threats posted on Facebook and reported it to the school.

The school policy allows for the expulsion of students for inapropriate postings online.
